Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh! (Happy New Year)
The new year is a time for reflection, resolutions, and trying something different. I’ve been writing for 4 years after a sudden urge gripped me one sultry afternoon. It may have been a muse, but if so, it was a dark creature, clutching at my throat, with claws bared—commanding me to bare my soul in waking dreams called stories. I’ve penned them for you from the Realm of the Fae. They’re wicked, they’re fierce and above all mysterious and passionate. I write with urgency, because I must complete the series before the creature sets me free again.
Marfóir—Killer, is due out in February this year. Marfóir is a standalone fiction, but can be considered book 2 in the chronology of the Fae-Tales. It begins after the battle at the Black Castle where Faolán confronts the Dark One in a violent battle. The Realms are in turmoil, the Fae Queen captured and the Fomoire revolt against their Tuatha Overlords has reached a fevered pitch that erupts into a war involving both Tuatha, Fomoire and humans.
As you know, I mix different genres, and the Fae-Tales are no exception. My stories are dark, steamy fantasy infused with elements of fairy tales, historical fiction, science fiction and classical gothic literature. It’s unusual, but I think once you get a taste for it, you’ll enjoy the wildness of exploring something different with me.
My next upcoming book, which I’m currently writing, is Deartháireacha—Brothers. A story of love, loyalty and passion; ready sometime this year.
Happy New Year!
